Getting Laser Hair Removal...
I went and got laser today. It freaked out a little bit but it was so cool.

Why Laser over Waxing or Shaving? What are the Benefits?
Laser Hair Removal is a permanent method of removing unwanted hair unlike, waxing or shaving which only last anywhere from a couple or days to weeks. Although laser does take a few sessions for hair to be 100% gone and it is alot more expensive, it is totally worth it. Laser hair removal is formulated with sensitive skin in mind, the lasers are safe enough to be used on any part of the body and target different skin types assuring results for everyone.
A Week Before
Obviously you need to book an appointment but there is alot of prep that goes into laser hair removal. Your skin must be free of products including fake tan, a week prior to any treatment to avoid complications such as burning, blisters and scarring. After all it is a laser zapping your skin. Having tan on your skin obviously darkens it, which will attract the laser making it more likely that complications will occur.
The Day Before
You have to do a little bit more skin prep before going to get laser hair removal done. Everything needs to be clean, and product and hair free. I found it a good idea to deal with the hair side of things the night before and then just touch up any strays in the morning before heading off to my appointment.
The Day of the Treatment
Another touch up on the clean and hair free side of things and you are good to go. I booked a morning appointment and made sure that I had showered before heading over. Imagine it being your job to get all up in someone's personal space and they haven't showered EW!! I also made sure I was wearing decent looking undies and clothing (bodycon, singlet style dress) that made the areas that were being treated easily accessible. Remember: the same ettiqute applies for laser as getting a wax.
I wasn't freaking out as much as I thought I would be. When I got there the lady invited me into the treatment room and we had a bit of a chat about my skin type, what the process was, what I wanted to achieve and what the results would be. From reading things and talking to other people who had had laser previously, I was under the impression that it was going to be quite painful. The treatment wasn't bad at all, much like plucking individual hairs. If you can handle that then you can handle laser. It took maybe five minutes (probably less than that) and I was done.
After the Treatment
Nothing changed too soon, and still nothing much has changed. My hair grew back just as it normally would although small bits have very slowly started to fall out. I have made another appointment and will be going back again and again to get laser done.
It has now been a few months since any treatment and I have had three sessions total, I try to go and get them done whenever it is on sale, as it goes down to about $30 for my bikini and armpits. The hair in the areas I have had treated is a lot lighter and the growth of said hair has been significantly reduced since getting treatments done.
