Bali Day Eight: Our Final Day in Bali
This morning was a fabulous final morning in Bali.
I woke up, went downstairs and had my Nasi Goreng for breakfast and then went to do some shopping. I didn’t really have anything I wanted to look at in particular but I knew I wanted to look at everything. I was out for about two hours just looking and trying some things on. I didn’t really find anything and then the things that I did find were way to big for me. I decided to head home and when I got there the boys were all in the pool. So I of course jumped in for a final game of Marco Polo which just ended in us arguing about what mermaid on rock was haha. When I use to play when I was younger we only had fish out of water not mermaid on rock.
Afterwards we all jumped out and went out to get a bomba. They are like doughnuts with no hole and filling inside. You can get Nutella, cream or jam on the inside. I got a cream one and Jackson got Nutella so we could have a try of each other’s. They were both SO delicious! After the bombas, Jackson and I went to get a massage. My massage was amazing, but It was a whole other story with Jackson's. But let’s just say that Jackson did NOT enjoy his so much. After the massage Jackson went to get another nalu bowl and I stayed in the spa and got a pedicure to treat myself. It was really good and I just to chill in the air con and have a scroll on the wifi for a bit. I think total I spent $15 for a pedicure and massage..that is what I want!
Once my little spa treatment was over, I had a little look in the markets along the side of the road with Amanda. I didn’t really see anything that caught my eye but Amanda was on a roll, so I left her there and went back to the villa. We hung out there for a bit before Jackson and I had to go and return our bikes :(
We rode out there and then started walking back. We stopped in at Cocomo, a coffee shop and got a coffee to push us through the walk. Once we were home, we didn’t have long before we had to leave for the airport. We got some dinner from Roti again (It really is that good!) and then it was time to say good bye to the villa. Before we left I went upstairs and took a picture of the bed we slept in every night, it was like a princess bed!
Everything was packed up and we jumped into the van with Mung Dae. There was only a little bit of traffic on the way to the airport, so we got there pretty quickly. Once we were there we got straight into the check in line in a hope that we would get our seats on the plane (We were on standby again so we weren’t guaranteed seats on the plane until we were checked in). Thankfully we got through straight away and went through all of the security without any hiccups aside from Amanda having to get Dan to run her skipping rope back to the surfboards because it had to be checked in.
Once we were through, we got to our gate and chilled. The boys, Jackson and I wanted to create a bicycle on one of the travellators. We did a practice run on the carpet and then nailed it!
On the plane, we got to take our snacks but Amanda the weapon, got us all hot meals and drinks! The perks of knowing an ex-air hostess! We got to have a bit of a sleep and then we landed. For some reason, the flight back home felt so much shorter than the way over. It was so relieving when we got to get in the car and just relax. We didn’t have to worry about where our bags were or if we were going to be late somewhere. I napped hard when we got in the car and then again when we got home!
Going to Bali was such an amazing experience and something that I will never forget. It was completely different to what I thought it would be and worth every penny!
