Bali Day Two: Looking Around Canggu
Today was our first proper day in Bali!
We started the day with breakfast in the villa. I had a banana pancake and a juice, it was really yummy but a lot of food for me to try to finish. After breakfast we sat around the villa for a bit and played some UNO and other games and of course, had a swim.
We eventually needed to go out to get bikes and change over some money, so that we could get around Canggu and spend some money. We walked into town, which wasn’t too far. We walked past so many cute little shops and stores and I was so tempted to go inside and have a look but we hadn’t changed any money over yet.
When we got to the bicycle hire place, they told us that they couldn’t get the bikes out until 1pm so we had to waste two hours. We decided to go over and get a Nalu bowl (They are like acai bowls but supposedly better. Jackson has been hyping these things up to me for a whole year! I’m not even kidding. He went to Bali this time last year and he’s been harping on about these since then). Once we were there we ordered, got some wifi codes and chilled out. They came out and looked really good! I’m not going to lie though, I was a little bit disappointed. At home I really like the acai bowls because they are like eating ice cream, the ones here are a bit more like yoghurt which isn’t really my jam. I told Jackson that I would give it a second shot though just to make sure. They definitely make for an amazing photo though!
After the nalu bowls we went back to the bicycle hire place and got our bikes. Then we just headed back to the villa, had another swim and chilled out until later in the afternoon. We went for a little walk and got some snackies and Bintangs for a few afternoon drinks. Jackson and I both tried a Bintang with orange and it was soo good! It would be so deadly though because it tasted just like fanta or a orange cruiser, nothing at all like beer.
At about 5:30pm, we headed out for dinner. We went and had Roti. It was so delicious- I had a feta cheese, tomato and black olive roti and Jackson had a chicken curry which were both yummy. After dinner, we came back home, watched a little bit of tv and went to bed. I was so tired again tonight that I seriously lay down in bed and fell asleep straight away.
